Voni Hinkle-Vrooman
 Journeyman Hair Stylist
(1958-2023)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Voni Hinkle-Vrooman, a cherished member of our community. Voni's journey began in 1988 when she joined 706 as an Associate, working diligently at NBC. Her dedication and passion for her craft quickly propelled her upward, and in 1991, she became a Trainee. Just a few months later, she successfully passed her Journeyman test, showcasing her exceptional skills.

Voni considered joining 706 as one of the best decisions of her life, and she wore her membership with pride. Her creativity knew no bounds, and her expansive body of work is a testament to her remarkable skills. From feature films like "Get Out" and "Total Recall" to the hit television show "NCIS New Orleans," Voni's touch brought characters and stories to life.

Her creativity truly dazzled in the production of The Cat in the Hat. She fashioned an off-pink wig for Kelly Preston, exuding elegance, and charm, while adorning Dakota Fanning with whimsical rolled pig tails, adding a touch of enchantment to her character. Perhaps the biggest challenge was creating electric blue two-piece wigs, ingeniously designed to defy gravity, and withstand the playful antics of Thing 1 and 2.

Among her many achievements, Voni was honored with Emmy nominations for her outstanding work on "If These Walls Could Talk" and "Days of our Lives". Additionally, her incredible work on "The Cat in the Hat" earned her a well-deserved nomination for the Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award.

Voni Hinkle-Vrooman passed away in New Orleans. Voni is survived by her loving children, Haley and James, and a host of friends and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory.
