James Lee McCoy
Journeyman Makeup Artist 
(May 8, 1941 - May 9, 2022)


Jim was a second generation make up artist, son of Frank McCoy.

He started at Universal in 1964 in their apprentice program that took 3 years. In 1967 he started Ironside with Raymond Burr and that ran for eight years. He then finished his time at Universal on a feature film MacAuthur with Gregory Peck. He then started independent films and freelanced on TV shows and Movies of the Week. He finished his career on Nash Bridges which ran for 6 seasons 1996-2001, finalizing once it ended by his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Carol O'Connell of 41 years, 3 children, 2 step children, 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and one step great grand daughter.

There will be no services.
